If you are experiencing difficulty managing at home, you may be eligible for Support at Home. Whether it’s assistance with housework, personal care, meal preparation, shopping and transport services to appointments or social activities, we’re here to help you.
Support at Home is a government subsidised program designed to help you live safely, independently and comfortably in your own home, while staying connected to the people and community that matter to you.
At Livable, we take the time to understand what is important to you, how you like to live and the support you need. Together, we can create a flexible support plan that fits your life and helps you continue doing the things you enjoy.
Everyone’s needs are different, which is why Support at Home has eight levels of funding. Your level is based on the type and amount of support you need to live safely, independently and comfortably at home.
Your funding is provided through a quarterly budget, giving you greater flexibility to use your funding in ways that support your individual goals and needs.
What level of support might I receive?
Level 1–2
For people with lower levels of ongoing support needs who may need some assistance to remain independent at home.
Level 3–4
For people who need more regular support with everyday activities, personal care, health and wellbeing or maintaining their independence.
Level 5–6
For people with higher or more complex support needs who may require a broader range of services and more frequent assistance.
Level 7–8
For people with significant and complex support needs who require a higher level of ongoing care and assistance to remain living at home.
Your level isn’t something you choose — it is determined through your aged care assessment. If your needs change, you can request a reassessment to determine whether a different level of support is appropriate.
Your Support at Home funding can be used for a range of approved services and supports, depending on your individual Support Plan. This may include help around the home, personal care, getting out and about, nursing, allied health and other services that help you live safely and independently at home.
At Livable, we offer a wide range of home and community services to help you at home, care for your health and get you out and about.
Our wide range of services includes meal preparation, personal care, garden maintenance, cleaning, transport – the options are endless! We even organise social groups and provide respite care for your loved one. Our goal is to help you stay active and independent while living in your own home.
