Being social has many health benefits as we grow older. At Livable, we provide a range of opportunities to keep you connected, make new friends and enjoy the company of others with similar hobbies and interests.
Livable’s Sunshine Club allows you to connect with your community and spend a day socialising. Activities, outings and special guests are a part of the Sunshine Club’s usual program. Our Lifestyle Support Workers will provide transport to and from the venue from your home. Sunshine Club members can expect morning tea and lunch which is included in the program. It’s a chance to make new friends and catch up with old ones.
At Livable, we provide social support to our First Peoples communities through Elder Groups. The group is facilitated by a leader and it’s an opportunity to come together for activities, celebrations and yarning. Some of the activities include attending cultural events, going on day trips, guest speakers, arts and crafts, sharing stories and having morning tea and lunch together, which is provided along with transport.
Livable’s Social Support service allows you to connect personally or in small groups with people who have similar interests. There are shopping groups, active groups or we can introduce you to new friends who share the same hobbies.
If leaving the home is not an option, we would love to drop in or call you. We can provide in-home social calls or simply call you over the phone. You choose the schedule and we’ll be there for you.
We would love to hear from you. Please give us a call on 1800 289 927 for more details.
