If you are still managing well at home but feel you need a little support with everyday tasks, the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) could be right for you. This government-subsidised program is intended for seniors and older people to access entry-level support services to live independently and safely at home.
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) is a government-subsidised program for people aged 65 years and older (50 years for First Peoples) who need a little support with everyday tasks to stay at home. This program provides subsidised in-home aged care services which are delivered by service providers like Livable.
CHSP focuses on working with you, rather than doing things for you. It is designed to provide you with access to 1 or 2 services to help you stay socially active, connected to your community and live as independently as possible.
At Livable, we offer a wide range of home and community services such as meal preparation, personal care, garden maintenance, cleaning, transport – the options are endless.
We even organise social groups and provide respite care if you and your carer want to take a break from routine. We work with you to maintain your independence by giving you a helping hand when you need it.
As your needs become more complex, you may be referred for a Home Care Package. Livable can help you apply for a Home Care Package, then coordinate and manage the right home care plan to suit your needs.
