Let us help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

As a registered NDIS provider, our team will work with you to understand your goals and connect you to the support services you need. You may want to live more independently, need assistance with shopping or cooking, or get out and about. Everyone has different aspirations and we want to help you live your life, your way.

Your NDIS Plan

To join the NDIS you need to meet specific eligibility requirements and request access to the program. You will then attend a planning meeting where we gather all your information and together, create a tailored plan that will help you work towards your goals and aspirations.

If you need some advice on how to get started, contact us and we will help you.

What will my NDIS plan look like?

Based on the discussion you had in your planning meeting with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC), your plan will include the following information.

  • About you – this will include your disability, day-to-day activities, where you live, who you live with or who cares for you.
  • Family and Friends – this will include all the support you receive from family and friends to help you work towards your goals.
  • Services and community groups – this will include information about the services and supports funded and delivered by community or other government services like support groups, health centers, libraries and public transport.
  • Your goals – what do you want to achieve in your life and any long-term goals for the future. Goal-setting is an important part of the NDIS.  The supports you receive may help you pursue the goals in your NDIS plan.
  • Your funding – details about the funding allocated in each support category and what the funding is for. The number of supports and services depends on your individual needs and may change from plan to plan.

Your NDIS plan will be available in the NDIS myplace portal within 24 hours after it has been approved.  You will also receive a printed copy of your plan mailed to you.

About Support Budgets

There are three types of support budgets that may be funded in your NDIS plan.

  1. Core Supports Budget

This funding is the most flexible and helps you with everyday activities such as purchasing daily use items, assistance with personal care, social activities and transport.  The good news is you can use your funding across all support categories.  However, there may be instances where you do not have flexibility in your funding and it must be used for a specific purpose.

  1. Capacity Building Budget

Capacity Building Supports help build your independence and strengthen your skills to reach your long-term goals. You can choose how to spend these funds to purchase any approved individual support, but you won’t be able to move funding from one category to another.

  1. Capital Support Budget

This funding relates to higher cost supports such as assistive technology or modifications to your home, wheelchair or vehicle.  These funds can only be used for their specific purpose and cannot be used to fund other items.

It’s important to remember that you may not have all the support categories funded in your NDIS plan.  This will depend on your individual needs.

What options do I have for managing my plan?

There are three ways to manage your NDIS plan:

  1. Self-management – gives you the flexibility to choose your service providers, pay your providers directly and keep all your invoices for five years.
  2. Plan management – A plan manager will help you understand the types of supports, look after the service agreements you have with the providers you choose, pay your providers on your behalf and track your budget. Livable can help you manage your NDIS budget.  Learn more about Livable’s Plan Management Services.
  3. NDIA managed – The NDIA will pay your providers on your behalf.
