Livable is pleased to announce the appointment of Joanna Sutherland as Chair of the Board, following the conclusion of Stephen Avery’s term after two years of dedicated service.

Jo brings a wealth of experience in governance, workplace culture, clinical and organisational risk. Her appointment marks an exciting next chapter for the organisation as it continues to respond to sector reform and growing community need across aged care, disability and family support services.

Livable CEO, Bianca Padbury, said she looks forward to working closely with Jo as the organisation moves into its next phase.

“Jo brings a values-led approach to leadership, underpinned by her clinical background and strong governance experience. We are delighted to welcome her as Chair and look forward to the insight and direction she will bring to Livable.”

Livable also extends its sincere thanks to Stephen Avery for his leadership and contribution over the past two years. During his tenure as Chair, Stephen has guided the organisation through a period of significant change and uncertainty across the community services sector.

“Stephen has been a thoughtful and committed Chair, and we are grateful for the time, expertise and leadership he has given to Livable,” Bianca said. “His contribution has helped strengthen the organisation and position us for the future.”

Incoming Chair Jo Sutherland acknowledged Stephen’s contribution and expressed her enthusiasm for the role.

“I would like to thank Stephen for his leadership and stewardship of Livable over the past two years. I am pleased to take on the role of Chair and look forward to working with the Board, executive and staff to continue strengthening Livable’s positive impact in the community.”
