MyTime support group is an opportunity to meet other parents and family carers of children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition. It’s a place for you to unwind, socialise with other parents who genuinely understand what it’s like to have a child with a disability, and talk about your experiences.
MyTime is available for all parents and family carers of children under 18 years who need a higher level of care than other children. This may include children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition.
All MyTime support groups are led by a trained facilitator who helps connect you with other families, and provides more information about available resources and support services in the Clarence Valley. Preschool aged children are kept engaged by a MyTime play helper, so you can relax and unwind knowing your child will be entertained.
There is no cost for this service. MyTime is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services and nationally coordinated by the Parenting Research Centre.
